Ask Bea what you could save
A story, start to finish

What happens when you get in touch?

No jargon, no surprises. Here's how a real-style job goes, from the first hello to the hours you get back, told by Bea.

Meet JoJo runs a small garden landscaping business. Her website brings in lots of enquiries. That's the good news.

Jo and her business are an example, to show you how a typical job works.

Hi, I'm Bea ๐Ÿ Jo loves getting enquiries. She doesn't love typing every one into her customer list at the end of a long day. So she got in touch. Let me show you what happened next.
1Step one

We have a quick chat

Jo tells me what's slowing her down, in her own words. Then we have a quick video call, and she shows me how she does it now.

No technical questions, no hard sell. Just a chat about how things work today.

Your part: about 10 minutes
JoEvery enquiry from my website lands in my inbox, and I copy each one into my customer spreadsheet. It takes ages.
RyanThat sounds like the perfect job to automate. Could you show me one on a quick call?
JoSure! Is Thursday morning OK?
๐Ÿ“ž 10-minute video call booked
After the call, Jo goes back to her day. Ryan does the thinking.
2Step two

I do my homework

I work out the simplest, most reliable way to take this job off Jo's plate, using the tools she already has. Then I estimate how long it will take to build.

Your part: nothing, just carry on

Notes: Jo's enquiries

  • About 25 enquiries a week
  • Details go into a Google Sheet
  • Takes Jo about 40 minutes a night
  • Her website form already sends emails
Build time: about a week
Within 2 working days, Jo gets two things: a fixed price, and a simple picture of the idea.
3Step three

You get a fixed quote, and a simple picture of the idea

The quote says exactly what will be built, what it costs, and the most it could ever cost. There's no hourly meter running.

The one-page idea shows how it will work, in plain English. If it doesn't make sense, I've explained it badly.

Your part: read it, and decide

๐ŸIt's read for you
๐Ÿ“‹It's added to your list
Jo says yes. Now the building starts, and Jo still doesn't need to do anything.
4Step four

I build it, and test it properly

I build it, then try to break it. Odd spellings, missing phone numbers, two enquiries at once: it has to cope with the messy real world.

All the testing uses practice enquiries, not Jo's real customers.

Your part: nothing, still
  • โœ“Reads the name, phone and what they want
  • โœ“Adds a new row to Jo's list
  • โœ“Copes with odd spellings and missing details
  • โœ“Flags anything unclear for Jo to check
  • โœ“Tested with 50 practice enquiries

๐Ÿงช Practice data only. Jo's customers stay private.

This is my favourite part. Jo gets to see it working, before she pays a penny.
5Step five

I show you it working

On a short video call, I send a test enquiry through Jo's own website form. A moment later, it appears in her customer list, all by itself.

Jo asks questions, and if anything needs changing, I change it.

Your part: watch, and ask anything

Jo's happy, so she pays, and it's hers. Along with the simplest guide she's ever read.
6Step six

You pay once you're happy, and get a simple guide

Payment only comes once you've seen it working. Then you get a short guide with pictures, written for someone who never wants to think about computers.

If anything goes wrong in the first 30 days, I fix it for free.

Your part: pay, and keep the guide handy

Your guide

  1. You don't need to do anything. New enquiries appear in your list by themselves.
  2. Check your list each morning, like you check your post.
  3. Something looks odd? Email Ryan. That's it.
And here's the bit that matters. Every evening from now on, Jo's list is already done.
7The happy ending

Jo gets her evenings back

Every new enquiry lands in her customer list on its own, day and night. Jo just opens it, and it's already there. The time she used to spend typing goes back into her business, or her life.

And because the price was fixed, it pays for itself within weeks.
